ReisCo Blog

Throughout our 30-day trip, we’ll be sharing daily blog posts to keep our loved ones updated and create a lasting diary of our incredible adventures. Since there are exactly 30 students in the group (excluding the supervisors), each student is assigned one specific day to write about. This way, everyone contributes a single post, and together we create a wonderful archive of highlights from our amazing journey!

First preliminary activity

Today, we had our first preliminary activity! To get to know our participants and break the ice, we organized a K-pop dance workshop. The dance lesson was led by Footloose, the dance association! We kicked things off with some name games. Sitting in a big circle, we took turns saying our names as quickly as possible. Later, we made it more challenging by starting from both sides of the circle, making it tricky to keep up in the middle! Next, we played a game where everyone had to sit on an A4 paper. One person stood in the middle and shared a unique fact about themselves. If anyone else related to that fact, they had to stand up and quickly find a new A4 paper to sit on. We got to know some really fun facts—like how Thor did ballet as a child, Theo is the only one who has flown a glider, and Pavlos is the only one who has written a book. We also learned that Tina has been to Greece before, and Itamar has participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, including karate and horseback riding. After the icebreakers, the real challenge began—we had to learn the choreography for Chasing That Feeling by the boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER. The instructor started with a demo, and as I looked around, I saw a lot of wide eyes and nervous faces. "How are we ever going to do that?" This was definitely not a beginner-friendly routine. Every beat had a different move, and at the beginning, we had to balance on one foot! The most difficult part, by far, was a sequence where we had to walk forward, lift one leg, and then do two quick steps on the eighth beat. I don’t think anyone fully mastered that move—not even the instructor! At the end, the instructor split us into three smaller groups, and we each performed in front of everyone. Honestly, I think we did a great job! 😊 After the K-pop dance lesson, we headed to the sports center canteen for a drink. It was such a pleasure meeting all of you—you are an amazing group!
